Firuza Huseynova is an interdisciplinary researcher, digital archivist, and radio DJ based in Montréal. As part of her M.A. in Digital Humanities at McGill University (fully-funded by the McCall MacBain Scholarship and SSHRC CGS-M grant), she researches alternative futures for music streaming platforms.
Firuza enjoys drawing connections between the ethics of friction, memetic communication, digital-born musical microgenres, cognitive offloading as a result of human-AI augmentation, and much more. TLDR, she is interested in all that is unknown to her. Her most-used words are 'dope', 'awesome', and 'epic'.
